#2755 closed bug (fixed)
Copy&Pasting files that exist already
|Reported by:||humdinger||Owned by:||leavengood|
Description (last modified by )
This is on vmware, hrev27404.
When you copy a file (ALT+C) and paste (ALT+V) it again into the same directory, nothing happens. Shouldn't Tracker either ask to overwrite or, better IMO, paste the file as "[filename] copy", just like a "duplicate" (ALT+D) would? Bug or enhancement? You decide.

Actually it still happens here. Did you really test it? Fixed the description, Paste is Alt-V

I have a fix, it isn't even that complicated. I will push it to Gerrit for review.

I am unable to reproduce this error. I am on hrev48487. I believe that this issue has been fixed.
I would suggest closing this as it seems to be solved.
