This is on VirtualBox 2.0.2 which is performing a lot faster than my native installs on several pc's. But moving a mouse above default checkerboard canvas is way too much cpu insensitive.

This is a WonderBrush implementation detail. The CPU usage is high for the Brush tool, because of the way it draws the brush.

Was that with vesa or accelerated graphics? I ask because CPU usage over the canvas seems normal here. Any particular tool selected? Was an image open, or was this the default checkerboard canvas immediately after opening Wonderbrush?
