Haiku won't boot with two Intel NICs

Reported by: justeco Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Drivers/Network/ipro100 Version: R1/pre-alpha1

Blocked By: Blocking:

Description

Haiku hrev29155 failed to boot when I had two Intel 10/100 NICs installed. It seemed to hang after attempting to load the ipro100 driver. Removing one of the NICs allowed me to boot.

Perhaps related to #2084, #2999, and #3431

ipro100 driver is notorious for interrupt-related issues.

Still an issue in more recent builds?

Ping. The ipro100 driver was updated. Please check with any revision after hrev41908.

No further updates after 3 years. Maybe must be closed?

I suppose this could be tested in vbox instead of real hardware right?
