Description
Haiku would not start / CD-ROM went round and round / Guess I'll wait a month
But seriously...
Hi, folks...I downloaded Alpha 1 and tried installing it on an eMachines T2240 eTower, 2.2 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, 32 GB hard drive. Made the CD with the ISO image to install. Put it in the computer, restarted it. The Haiku start-up screen appeared and the seven icons indicating progress lit up, but that was it. Never got the "Install" button option, and safe mode didn't help. The DVD drive showed signs of progress, spinning and spinning, but ultimately just stopped. Booting from the CD didn't help, either.
Love the logo, though! :-)

I am experiencing the same problem, but with quite different hardware.
All the icons light up, but Haiku hangs on the last one.
Here is a zip file, containing pictures I took of the debug output:

I have left the images their original size/ resolution.

Since this is a hardware/driver related issue, please create a new ticket. It's preferred to attach individual files to the ticket. You may need to crop or resize the images to make them <400KB

If you still have this hardware can you recheck it with a recent Haiku build and if there is still an issue please open a new trac ticket with more details on your hardware. Closing this ticket out due to lack on info on the hardware.
Could you try the on screen debugging from the safe mode menu, and take a photo of the last few pages?
