#6021 closed bug (duplicate)

Media Player won't recognize media on a read-only NTFS disk

Reported by: kvdman Owned by: stippi
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Applications/MediaPlayer Version: R1/alpha2
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Has a Patch: no Platform: All

Description

I've tried .mp4, .mpg, and .avi on alpha2.

If you try to play them with Haiku's media player, it first won't recognize the mime type, then when you force it to open with media player, 'none of the files you wanted to play appear to be media files'...

I should add, when I copy the files to Haiku's partition and double click them, they play just fine.
