At the opening, waddlesplash noted that he propsed a Timeline for beta 2.

#14805 Remove struct size hacks in net80211

To do:

• Make the changes to the struct size [waddlesplash]
• Update the wpa_supplicant and its recipe [waddlesplash]
• Update the buildbots [mmlr]
• Add the newly built packages to the image [waddlesplash]

It was decided to do this now rather than later. (Note 14-04-2020: after some difficulties, the build bots have been rebuilt and the packages are now available)

#15744 WonderBrush: artifacts when scrolling

There has been work on a ​change by X512. After some discussion, the outcome was:

• We would like to have it fixed
• There are two good solutions here (patchset 4 and patchset 5).
• The preference is patchset 4.
• There was some discussion about the naming of the flag, but that name can be changed later.
• pulkomandy/waddlesplash will merge patchset 4.

#14382 Package kit boot activation doesn't create users

High priority issue, not a blocker. AGMS and nielx will have a look at it, to try to see if they can get something in before the branch point.

#14916 Audit all syscalls for permissions and access checks

It was found that this should probably move over to beta 3.

#1651 [BTextControl] When alignment is set to B_ALIGN_RIGHT, the text is not aligned to the right of the control

Skipped because the issue owner was not in the meeting.

#13427 Package Uninstall should run a Bash Script too

It was decided that this should be in beta 3, because the upgrade will break if this is introduced in beta 2.

Note that this does close off the future upgrade route from beta 1 directly to beta 3 and higher.

#14525 [Package Kit] some strings are not localized

It was decided that this patch could be submitted after another test.

Beta 2 Timeline & Release Coordinator & other points

• There were no disagreements with the timeline
• waddlesplash offers to be the Release Coordinator, nielx will back him up.
• There is one ​outstanding change that was under review, that we would like to get in. axeld will be prodded, if he is unavailable, pulkomandy will review with a notepad and a pen to do the math.
• apl is now the official Component owner for HaikuDepot
• pulkomandy will try to review a ​change for HaikuDepot
• apl will have a look at #14675
• waddlesplash will inform the mailing lists about the release schedule and timeline to see if there are any objections.
• Next meeting scheduled for the 2nd of May 2020, just before the beta2 branch point.
