#12678 assigned bug

XRS (an old BeOS app) will crash when attempt to export a song as wave audio file

Reported by: Giova84 Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: Unscheduled
Component: Servers/media_server Version: R1/Development

Platform: All

Description

XRS v1.13 unofficial beta2 (the zip file is available here https://dev.haiku-os.org/attachment/ticket/10922/Xrs1.3unbeta2.zip ) on Haiku hrev50141 - but the same behaviour occurred on older nightlies builds: this specific issue occurs at least since Haiku Alpha 4.1, IIRC.

When you attempt to export a song as wave file "File" menu > "Export as WAVE" XRS will crash. IIRC on the early alpha releases of Haiku (at least Alpha 2) this crash didn't occurred.

I attach the debug report.

Update about the issue here: ticket:12712#comment:3

but I still experience some issues with XRS: when I export a song as *.wav, I just get a 0 byte (empty) *.wav file If I attempt to export the song, instead, as *.aif file, XRS will crash again.
