Cortex's Transport window: the start button doesn't work at the first click.

Description
I noticed that, when I play with Cortex (eg: connecting an audio node - MediaPlayer or any other audio node from any media app - to a vst) and then I click on "start" in the Transport window, I can't hear any audio output: I have to click stop and then start again.
However, I can exclude a latency issue: on my system I have a very low audio latency: 9 ms (thanks to Pete Goodeve: some time ago he sent me a modified HDA driver provided with a setting file where I can set the audio buffer size).
