Description
I am using ubertuber to watch youtube video. For SD videos I am using overlays, it is working fine. Without overlays it's coming frame by frame. While watching HD videos, in overlays mode media player screen become white or shows video in angle. If I remove overlays for HD, it is showing the video properly. I checked the file info, it is shwing the video files as 350p. For 480p file types it comes frame by frame.
I am using dell latitude c640. 1.8ghz processor, 1gb ram, radeon 32mb graphics etc.

I don't think there is any bandwidth issue. I am getting 10-11 mbps, I can watch full HD videos flawlessly in my mac or windows pc in the same network. However I tried download and play the content and there is no difference.
I am having problem for all HD content in the youtube and can play all SD content in the overlay mode. The following is one example:
Dark knight HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ5U8suTUw0
Seven SD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4YV2_TcCoE
Find the attached picture files to see my pc configuration and the screenshot of the media player with file info and settings and the UberTuber link. I also attached two picture of the screen taken from my camera as in overlay mode the screen capture shows blank for the media player.
I don't know how to recreate it another pc. If you have problem recreating, I can give remote access to my pc, whenever you need. Just be aware I have got dynamic ip.
Thanks

I noticed one more thing. If I live one instance of the media player open. The subsequent instances plays the hd videos even in the overlays mode. But the performance is worse than the non-overlays mode. It comes in frame by frame and not smooth.

That's perfectly normal ; most graphics cards only have a single overlay unit, ergo only the first instance of media player gets hardware overlay, while the rest are the usual software playback.

I noticed, it has no problem playing 360p or 480p videos. I suspect, it has some problem with the width of the video. It is playing well 640x480 videos, if the width of the video is more than 640 pixels it is having problem with the overlays. Seems like some maximum limit has set. It is using ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 card.

Closing these tickets due to the passing of time. Please consider opening new tickets with current syslogs if still using these graphics accelerators and seeing these issues.
For others to try to reproduce it, could you provide URLs to examples in SD and HD?
To eliminate bandwith related issues, you could try to either pause playback for a while or save the video and play it back from your local harddrive.
