Thinking that the lack of libraries, I installed the vorbis, flac, ogg, etc. But it still crashes. When you select the ogg and vorbis, or MKV.

Can you check again if this crash still occurs in current nightlies? FFmpeg plugin was updated recently.

Can't tell for the exact test case but when I tested last night, it was obviously still broken.

Any news? This program does not work. I think it would make a bad impression, during using alpha4. Because Haiku is presented as a Media OS.

If i replace current ffmpeg with ffmpeg addon taken from Haiku Alpha 3 i am able to use MediaConverter, rendering videos with Clockwerk and recording the screen with BeScreenCapture. Otherwise, with the current version of ffmpeg addon, all these apps crash on media converting/rendering..

Can it be that the Mediconverter are gcc2 and the addin/ffmpeg are gcc4?

If I remember correct I hade a problem with a gcc2/gcc4 hyrbrid..

Could you try with hrev45126 ?

comment:13 Changed 7 years ago by jackburton

Resolution: fixed

Tested fixed.

Partially "fixed".

AVI with PCM audio and MJPEG video to OGG with Vorbis audio and Theora video crashes MediaConverter.

But AVI with PCM audio and MJPEG video to AVIwith AC3 sound and MP4 video converts "successful". Playing converted file deadlocks Haiku. This file works on Windows but without sound.
